That Shaved Ice, Lemonade, Food & Bakeaway/ Private Events

Hi, my name is Courtney, and I am the owner of our food trailer, ‘That Shaved Ice, Lemonade, Food & Bakeaway.’

When I was a young girl, I fell in love with baking and cooking when my grandma sat me on her counter to watch her cook and bake. I took up baking and cooking more often as a teen, which eventually inspired me to sell my baked items. As I grew older, I began to bake and sell from our home occasionally. I always dreamed of starting my own bakery, but I wanted to avoid being tied down in one location. We have talked about creating a food trailer for years, enabling me to follow my passion whenever I want while being present at different venues for events or just to set up when I want. 

I find joy in putting smiles on faces and spreading warmth with our range of our cool tasty, shaved ice flavors, fresh-squeezed lemonades, my homemade baked goods, and our homemade cooking, all while keeping it budget-friendly for everyone.  

Before I met my husband, Michael, I had a desire to attend culinary school, but I found it financially unfeasible and ultimately decided it wasn't worth pursuing. Since I was a little girl, I have spent years learning independently, with God's guidance and my grandma's encouragement in baking and cooking, along with my mom's support throughout the journey.

I often sat on my grandma's kitchen counter, observing her as she cooked, baked, and preserved food, while she shared her knowledge with me. At one time, she worked for a restaurant referred to as Double O's in Arma, KS. She also shared recipes that I hold close to my heart.  

Over the years, I have occasionally sold my baked goods and food since I was young. I enjoy bringing joy to others. Not only that, but I even gave things away for others to enjoy and so they can try it. This is something I absolutely love doing; it is one of my many gifts God gave me, & I am passionate about it. Someone asked me the other day what my favorite thing was to cook, and I answered her with Homemade Bread, Lol, baking is my favorite, but I love to cook as well, I told her, and said I love to cook Homemade chicken tenders and grilled chicken. But I don't get asked that question often and was just caught off guard. Lol- When I got home and really thought about that question, I really love to cook Homemade Italian foods and baked goods, it's in my blood and it is delicious.  I just really enjoy the fun and relaxation it provides, and I am blessed to do what I love together with my family! 💕🧁🍧🍋
